I am getting a tingling or itching sensation. Is this normal?
- Tingling or itching when using Magnesium Oil can be a common reaction and may be a sign of magnesium deficiency. If this is the case, it's a good idea to continue using but try adding it to a carrier oil or moisturiser and then massaging it in. This will break down the highly concentrated product and should reduce any irritation. Once your bodies levels have adjusted, you can continue using in its pure concentrated form. This can sometimes take a few days to a few weeks depending on the individual.
- Another suggestion may be using on your feet or areas of the body that are less sensitive until your body is less reactive to it.
- Also note, to be wary of any cuts or sensitivities after shaving when applying as this will likely sting.
Is Magnesium Oil safe for children?
Our Magnesium Oil is 100% Pure and natural and is safe to use on children. As it is a highly concentrated product and children’s skin is more sensitive, it would be recommended to dilute the oil with water to a 50:50 ratio and begin by using on the soles of the feet.
For growing pains, use the diluted product on the legs and massage it in. You can also add to a moisturiser or carrier oil like coconut to apply to other areas of the body.
